These are delightful, wonderful, little candy coated chocolate pieces of HEAVEN....heaven I tell ya, and they are only here once a year. I stock up, my friends stock up for me, I have people keeping an eye out for these until every last bag is gone. These my friends, take me to my happy place! This picture was emailed to me last night....(Thanks Steph) and, (happy sigh) I went to bed with a big smile on my face! Yep, I know Im a dork....I embraced that part of myself a long time ago. :D
My next favorite thing........diet cherry sprite from Sonic!! Holy Cow....YUMMY, if you haven't had one....GO.NOW. get one! I am a die hard diet coke addict, but for a change up every now and then, this is awesome and refreshing, plus it has yummy crushed ice to munch on when your drink is gone.
The Dead Zone. I never did watch this from beginning to end when it was on tv, I only really caught an episode here and there, but..........thanks to another favorite thing (NETFLIX) I am now watching them episode after episode. I LOVE IT!!! I'm only through season 1 and about 5 episodes of season 2. Man, that Anthony Michael Hall sure did grow up good!! :D
Eureka...it's on SciFi and is kinda goofy but I'm hooked. Plus, Sherrif Carter isn't bad to look at! ;)
Scentsy.......I've pretty much given up my candles and replaced them with these cute warmers that you put scented wax in. They really smell up the room and have TONS of wonderful frangrances to choose from. They have warmers to match pretty much any decor and any room, plus they have plug in ones that double as a night light!! I love the plug in, it's the one I use at work to help cover the nasty smell my co-worker sometimes leaves behind... (see previous post)!
Anyway, those are just a few things that made it to my favorites list....what's on your list? I'm always looking for more fun, cool things to add to mine!!

Men at Work
Ewwwww....*sniff, sniff*, what in the hell is that stench? Oh, nevermind, it's just my co-worker lettin loose in his office. Yes, this is what happens when you work with men.
The one in the back office belches, the one across from me.......I can literally HEAR him breathe, like the whistling through the nasal passages whistling......ugh! And then, there's the one with the flatuence problem. He does try ( I think) to keep from stinkin up the office, because he keeps a can of air freshener in his office and I know to go turn on my scentsy lamp when I hear the spray of his can a goin......seriously can you not take your problem to the bathroom? Or, maybe shut your office door? One day it was so bad that my scentsy warmer couldn't even cover the smell..... maybe I should just turn it on first thing in the morning and maybe that would help!
For the most part these guys are absolutely great to work with and I wouldn't trade them for any of the other guys in the whole office, but once and awhile.....all the maleness just gets a little old. I definitely need to take a break and go surround myself with girly stuff!!

The Wrong Side of the Bed.......
that's how I woke up this morning. Why? Um, because my 14 year old daughter didn't want to sleep in her room last night. So, she pulled in all of her blankets, pillows, etc and made herself a little nest on the side of my bed with only about 2.5 feet of space for her to sleep in. Why, you might ask, don't I just let her sleep in my bed with me....well because I have a hard time sleeping to begin with and she moves around TOO much. The last time I had to sleep with her, I got an elbow in the face. So, she's on the floor. Is it weird that a 14 year old still gets a little scared and wants to sleep in her mommy's room? So needless to say, whenever she sleeps in my room.....I don't sleep so well, (nothing new..I have sleep issues to begin with), but everytime she moves she ends up banging into something and I have to lean over the side of the bed to make sure she hasn't knocked herself out! I'm only halfway kidding!! She is very well protected from concussions in the middle of the night by the tons of pillows and blankets she brings in to sleep with, I'm not that mean of a mom! ;)
Let me just say in her defense, that we live in an older apartments complex and there are always noises and sounds that kinda freak her out. She sleeps with a fan, which helps drowned out other noises, people talking in their apartments, cupboards slamming, etc, but that's not good enough, because she still feels alone and scared. To remedy that, I've let her get into the very bad habit of sleeping with the tv on. Well, a couple days ago, her dvd player took a dump....it's done & completely dead. She felt that as long as she could fall asleep to a video, (usually Cake Boss) then she didn't feel like she was alone. I know.....a little strange, but it seemed to work for her and she would fall asleep fairly fast. Now the dvd/tv combo is done for and she has nothing but the fan to keep her company at night. I'm not sure when I will be able to replace her tv, and at this point I'm not sure I want to....that is unless she starts nesting on my floor everynight!!
Anyone else have this happen??? Anyone else do this themselves when they were children?
It's not often, so I'm not too worried about it....unless it becomes a nightly battle..then I might be on the hunt for a new tv/dvd player!

Dallas 1/2 Marathon Baby!!!
It's now something I can cross off my list, although, I'm not really sure it was on my list to begin with.....anyway, somehow it made it on and now it can be crossed off. Whew!! What a rush, and not necessarily in a good way....by the end, seriously I just wanted to be done. In fact, when I saw the finish line, I took off, running faster than I had before because I knew that once I was across that line, then I was done. I could stop. Just get me to that line. I was spent, I had to pee, and I had nothing left to give. My time....not great, but not too bad for my first time ever. 2 hours and 42 minutes...give or take a few seconds. Who does that? Runs for over 2 hours....crazy people do, that's who, and most of these people .....LOVE IT!! Will I ever run a 1/2 marathon again?????? Good question, right now I don't have the answer, but I wouldn't rule it out completely...I mean just look at how happy we look!! We did have a ton of fun too and meeting some pretty dang awesome people. I even got my picture with BILL PHILLIPS, he's a total rock
star!!
Before the marathon. Me, Eme, Mark, and Julie with Bill Phillips. Me, Mark, Lorenza & Cathy
After the race!! I am smiling, because I was done, and didn't die on the side of the road. Hmmm, the Vegas 1/2 is coming up in December, that is plenty of time to consider running again!! :D

Easter in Zion
I highly suggest to anyone out there in blogland, that if you get the chance to visit Zion National Park in Utah to do so. What an amazing, wonderful, peaceful place....a place that is truely touched by God.
My sister and her family came down for the Easter weekend and we stayed in a hotel in Springdale, a really cool place with lots of places for the kids to explore, they even came upon 5-6 deer grazing on the side of the mountain. They were able to get within about 5 feet of the deer.
We hiked up to Emerald Springs, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and enjoyed being together. That's what it's all about!! Life, love, and family.
