Change the future-art journal

I used the Forest Goddess image from Some Odd Girl to create this art journal page, she reminds me of an elf from Lord of the Rings, so used a quote from the movie, plus, it's like my favorite movie EVER!!

I used a variety of supplies, distress paint, stamps, big brush markers, texure paint, stickers, copics, and of course my art journal.

I'm finding that I'm totally lovin paint and markers together!! :)

I like BIG books-art journal page

I've added another page in my art journal, I had thought at first to fill up one journal with just reading/book images, but thought..nah, so I'm gonna just throw whatever I love into it.  I know what image I'm working on next and just have to figure out a background for her!

This image is from Tiddly Inks called Sweet Dreams, it comes with a couple images, this one and one like it but with Wryn in bed reading!  I've been collecting reading quotes along the way and thought this would be fun, I used some acrylic paint, texture paste, Tim Holtz stencil, letter stickers, black enamel gloss and a text stamp to add to the background. I really love how she turned out!

Tow-tally the best dad!

Hi everyone, I'd like to share a card made with this new image from Whimsie Doodles, it came in perfect time for Father's Day or actually for any dad who has a birthday coming up.  I think it's a great way to just tell your dad how awesome he is as well!

I colored with copics, matted it on red cardstock, used my line stitched die from MFT Blueprints 13 on the grey cardstock and used a premade yellow card base.  I added silver to the bumpers and hub caps using Kirarina Wink that I got from Simon Says Stamps, the star die cuts are also from My Favorite Things, blueprints 13. The enamel dots are gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.  I LOVE these gumdrops!!

I hope you head over to Whimsie Doodles to check out their new images and have a great weekend!!

Be AWESOME!!

Hi, I'm back today and sharing a card using a new release image from Whimsie Doodles called
Party Stinker.  I just think this little critter is the cutest!  I made the card simple and geared more for a boy, since I will be sending this to my nephew.  I colored with copics, I found this awesome red wood grain paper in my stash, the dotted paper and sentiment sticker are from a kit by We R Memory Keepers and then used black and white striped ribbon for borders, hope you like it and will go check out all the fun new images and play along!!

Swimming by to say Hi!

I'm sharing another card today, I kept it to a simple design, using copics to color up this adorable image from The Greeting Farm . I believe she was a FB freebie, I couldn't find her in the shop.  I used the card base and other shapes from My Scrap Chick Card Essentials 2 svg file, some twine, and a little tag. I added glitter around the frame, in her fins and the starfish, I also added a Wink of Stella on her tail.

At our house and when my kids were growing up we probably watched the Little Mermaid a couple times a day almost everyday, and Ariel is my daughters favorite princess, she loves mermaid movies and anything Ariel, (she's 19!!) but goes to show that you can never be too old for what you love!

Happy Birthday Papa Bear

Hi bloggy friends, I'm here today sharing a card using a new image from Whimsie Doodles, isn't this Papa Bear just fabulous!   I started with a white card base (which doesn't show up very well, note to self....take pic with a different color background!) Those fabulous papers that I thought fit perfectly are from WRMK Happy Camper 6x6 paper pad, I distressed the edges of both papers, added some brads, a strip of white and some letter stickers.  I just LOVE that woodgrain paper!  Hope you like it and will come check out the new images for June over at Whimsie Doodles! :)
