Wonderfully made

Making scripture cards to collect and put into an album  is something that I started doing a few years ago, I joined a challenge that gave us one word each week for 52 weeks to look up in the scriptures and find one that spoke to us and then make a little journal card using that scripture, I loved searching the scriptures using that one word, it made it a little more focused.
I came across a challenge blog called Word Art Wednesday which is a wonderful blog that focuses on uplifting projects and they even offer up a scripture verse to use in the creative process.  I used the verse provided to make a scripture card and I am excited to get back to my scripture/journal book.

So, here is my scripture card using the verse. I love "I am fearfully and wonderfully made"  I think we all need a reminder that we are wonderful just the way we are, yes there is room for improvement...always, but I think sometimes we beat ourselves up  for the small, unimportant things and that never serves a good purpose.  I'm grateful for the little reminders that come and for the soul lift that those reminders provide.  So go forth and BE WONDERFUL!! :)

Happy B-day!!!

Hi everyone and happy Saturday to ya!

I'm sharing my card today over at Paperie Ink. I used a couple stamps from the
Flyin High stamp/die set.  I stamped several balloons and the cute little bunny, he's got so many balloons that they are carryin him away!

I used a Happy Birthday script stamp for my background and colored using distress inks and then stamped the balloons with matching colors and some string for him to hold onto.
Check out the stamp set HERE, there are so many cute stamps and many ways to mix and match. There are the cutest focal images and lots of little accessory stamps too! Check out the picture below of the full set and these also have a matching die set that are super easy to use.

I hope you stop by to visit us at Paperie Ink!

Something Beautiful

Hi everyone and happy Saturday to ya all!  I hope you all had a very happy holiday season and are getting a fabulous start to 2016!

I'm up over at the Paperie Ink blog today with this card made with some super cute images from the Christmas Carolers stamp and die set....see these images can certainly be used for more than a Christmas card, the birds...nest and sentiment all suggest a beautiful new beginning and would be perfect for a congrats on a new baby, a baby shower card or maybe even a new home.  There are many ways to customize for whatever your needs may be!

I used a circle die to cut out the center and watercolored the background, adding a little frantage for interest and texure, I also embossed the sentiment and loved adding in a few little music notes, they are so cute!!

Leave a little Sparkle

I love this sentiment, I wish I sparkled more than I do....but I don't. So I appreciate and am grateful for those who do!!

Head on over to Little Miss Muffet Stamps and join us for this fun challenge

Our next challenge is 'Your favorite stamp' and 'Year in Review'
Your challenge is to use your favorite LMMS Stamp and to create something new or to share your Favorite LMMS Project from 2015.

I created with a new image that is now in the shop called Jr Hatter Starlight, she works perfectly with the stamp sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs called Fairy Sweet, I colored with copics, added some Wink of Stella, silver liquid pearls, twine and tried (maybe failed) to make it look like she had a nice glow from the bright stars.....I think i just succeeded in making her look like she has a yellow beard....  gotta practice that!

Reading is dreaming with open eyes...

I have found a love for these little canvas pieces, this one is about 5"x5" and the perfect size for one good focal image and some embellishments.  I'm trying to figure my way with mixed media and am having fun with using different media and techniques.  I've used this amazing image from

I have a love of reading and books so I've been collecting images and quotes with the reading/book theme.   I used copics to color Mae, the sun and clouds are from Taylored Expressions, I used frantage, doily, texture paste, spattered ink, and some decorative ribbon.  The quote was stamped on paper colored with copics to match my image.  I also added a pearl for her earring.

Hope you like! :)
