Caffeine Addict

I'm sharing a card made today that is dedicated to caffeine.  No matter your choice of caffeine, whether it comes from coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, or my beverage of choice diet coke...some of us just don't feel like facing the day without the stuff flowing through our veins.

My bestie's birthday is upcoming and I made this card with a pocket on the front to hold a gift card so she can go get her caffeine of choice, get her day started right and hopefully have the patience to deal with the day to day annoyances.....I can say this about her, cuz we are basically the same person.  What she is annoyed by pretty much is the same things that annoy me and vice versa, and for me..........I just feel like once I have the diet coke in my hands then everything is ok and I can handle things slightly better.  Not completely better, but slightly......which is better than not at all! ;)

I made my card with stamps (Caffeine Addict)  and die cuts (Coffee to Go)  from Sugar Pea Designs, the background text stamp is from my stash and I don't remember the brand. I die cut the coffee cup and stamped the Caffeine Addict, heart and coffee beans, stapled my gift card pocket and added some NUVO drops in dark walnut.  I used Distress ink in Ground Expresso!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges and the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop

Congrats-Gnomie Style

I'm participating in a monthly challenge over at Gerda Steiner Designs, if you play during the month, then the next month you receive the digital stamp for the challenge free!  I love this image, I think all things mythical and fantastical fall right into my genre of choice!

I thought the image was adorable for a wedding or anniversary card, the trees/bushes in the background are from Some Odd Girl and thought with gnomes being small, the bushes created the perfect outdoorsy setting.  I added white dots and sparkles in the bushes to mimic white lights with my gel pen and white enamel accents, I colored with copics and added some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  The ground and sky were created by hand inspired by classes from Kit N Clowder.

I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking! :)

I've used this adorable image called Cute Cactus from the Sasayaki Glitter Designs Etsy shop and created this many layered card that is done completely with paper.  I find myself not really using a lot of different embellishments, just paper. I cut the frame with dies from My Favorite Things and inked around the edges of the papers to distress and interest.  I added line work, used some super cute pattern paper and colored the image with my copics.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Welcome Little One

Happy Friday to ya! I can't believe we are already mid way through March...wow time really does go by fast, especially the older you get!

I played with this adorable image called BABY GIRL PANDA from Sasayaki Glitter Designs you can peruse Naz's Etsy shop HERE for some super cute images for all occasions.

I have had babies on the brain for a few months now as my daughter is due with her rainbow baby on April 18...only a few short weeks left (super exciting)  and her sister in law is due two days later.  So....I used this cutie to create a shower card for the sister-in-law.

I colored with copics, shading with W5,3,1 and used some fun pinks RV25, 23,21 and I think V09 for the purple hearts.  I used some super cute pattern paper, the flower is a punch as is the heart.  The banners and scallop circle are all dies from MFT and SugarPea Designs.

Shy in the Sky

Hi friends, I'm posting today with a card using Shy in the Sky from Sasayaki Glitter Designs, I chose this image because our grandson will be turning 1 in a couple weeks and his daddy is a pilot, thought this would be perfect!  Not that he will know, but I do and at this point.....that's good enough!

I paper pieced the airplane, used distress ink and a hand made cloud stencil for the sky, the cityscape is a stamp from Paperie Ink and I used a silver ink pen for the stripe on the plane.  I tend to wait until I know for sure what occasion I want to use a card for before adding a sentiment, but I think Celebrate or Happy Birthday is going to go on the top somewhere.

I hope you all have a great day, hop over to join a challenge or two at Sasayaki Challenge Blog or FB group!

I like your face

When I saw this darling little panda from Gerda Steiner Designs, I had to get it and play!

I love pandas and Gerda's designs, I love the cute and whimsy, love using fun colors, papers and patterns.  I colored this with distress inks and prisma pencils and then used my copic in BG10 and BG11 for some color and interest around the panda and to make him pop a little.  I think he's adorable and had fun coloring him up!

New Beginnings...

Happy New Year to everyone!!  I hope this year brings happiness, joy, adventure and comfort to us all...at least that is what I am hoping for! :)    We have a couple grandbabies coming this year, so that's definitely going to bring some joy and adventure!

This is my first post of 2018 and I've got a card to share for a very special occasion.  I used the image Stella for my card today from Sasayaki Glitter Designs and wanted to make a pregnant/congrats card for my daughter who is due with her first baby April 18!

I colored with copics and used paper from the Garden Party paper pad from Pebbles, added some flowers and sequins.  I LOVE the colors and patterns in this paper pad, so feminine and pretty!

I hope you like my card and will also join us at Sasayaki Glitter Designs for challenges on the blog and FB group!!
