Oh Snap

I finally am getting back into scrapbooking, this is where my love of playing with paper started.  After many years I started with card making and LOVE that, but scrapping is something that will always hold my passion.  I love taking pictures and creating with paper, fun embellishments, stamps, paint, ink, ribbon, twine and anything that will just make a layout special.
I found this picture of my daughter on her social media and snagged it for myself, its such a cute picture and she captured her self perfectly!  She is always taking pictures, mostly with her phone, but she does have a nice camera as well.

I love using sketches for cards and layouts and found one over at Scrap our Stash that I used for this layout.

For the layout I used the sketch, gold, hearts and Heidi Swapp, and Ink.  What a fun challenge!  I really am happy that I found such a great blog with fun challenges and a great sketch!

I would like to submit this to the following challenges:

Happy Spring

Hey and Happy Spring to ya! I'm sharing a couple cards that fit that spring theme and are just plain fun with these adorable images from Cre8tive Hands.  Cre8tive Hands has a challenge blog and also a FB challenge with the chance to win digis and I think a freebie now and then as well.

The leprechaun could be used for any theme with Treasure, Gold, Lucky, etc.  I used it for a card I will give to my husband saying that I'm "So Lucky" to have him in my life.

The cute little Teddybunny and Duckling Bunny (that's not really the technical name for them, just what I started calling them) ;)   are so cute in their little costumes and are perfect for spring/Easter.

I hope you like them and will go check out the challenges at Cre8tive Hands and share your projects with us!!

I have to note that the clover tag on the Lucky card is a die cut from Taylored Expressions, it came with an order I won and I used an embossing pen to go around the edge and top and embossed with gold powder, I placed several strips of green striped washi tape onto paper and cut it out as well and placed it inside the tag.  Totally fun tag and perfect for my card!

Little Princess

So I'm on a roll with birthday cards lately and have this adorable digi image from Some Odd Girl that I just had to use.  I used elements from different companies and colored her up with copics, added silver liquid pearls to her crown and button on her dress.  I inked some clouds onto the already blue background, the banner is skinny mini banners from Taylored Expressions that I just received yesterday and was perfect to add to my card. The card itself is a card base from My Scrap Chick the card essentials pack, I've used this base before and really love it, the Happy Birthday stamp is a sentiment from Seaside Wishes/Sugar Pea Designs and the Little Princess is a rub-on from my stash that has been there for probaby 10+ years.

I just adore this image and have colored her up before and I'm sure she will be used over and over again! You can find her HERE!

Fairy Wings

I'm back today to share another card using this super cute fairy from Cre8tive Hands and the sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC from a long time ago.  I kept to a contrasting color theme, I just love purple and yellow together and think it really makes the image stand out.  I did an Out of the Box die cutting technique with the wand, part of it is outside the die, I colored with copics, used wink of stella on the wand and her wings, the sparkle stamps are accessory stamps from the Fairy Sweet set from Sugar Pea Designs.

I hope you stop over at Cre8tive Hands and join the challenge, it's FAIRIES how fun!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love anything to do with fantasy.  I love magical, mythical, fantastical beings/stories/books and movies.  So I love playing with these adorable winged mystical beings and anything that fits in that genre!

You can never have too many birthday cards and I definitely don't have enough male cards...this adorable penguin from Sugar Pea Designs is perfect for those masculine cards and comes with a bunch of different sentiments.  I used the sketch from SPD as well to create this card.
I used my copics, a couple pattern papers and then a C.C Designs star stencil with texture paste on the blue panel.
