Fabulous!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Holiday.  We kept things low key around here and when Ash came back from her dad's, she came back with a really bad cold/flu.  Her fever finally broke yesterday morning and she feels somewhat human again.  She had to miss a basketball game though and time with friends, hopefully in the next couple days, she will be pretty much better.  (fingers crossed)

Anyway, I'm posting a card I made last night.  This is for the The Alley Ways Stamp challenge based on the  picture below.  I used the Doodle Frame set, some black gems, photo corners, black enamel accents, some ribbon and the background paper was from my stash and I can't remember from which company.

Anyway, just a quickie post. I'm trying to get Christmas put away and the house back to normal!

Hope you all have a happy Saturday! :)

Oh Christmas Tree

Just posting a quick picture of my daughters Christmas Tree. She wanted one just for herself and I'm thinking she might leave it up year round!  This girl LOVES Christmas and has been listening to Christmas songs since Halloween.  I just love her!

Hope you all have a very safe and happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Snow Family

Ok....how cute are these? I've seen similar snow families on Pinterest and had to make my own set. My friend and I spent a few hours putting these together.  They are pretty simple and turned out cute! We used fence posts and painted them white.  Used fuzzy socks for the hats and a couple of scarves that I've had lying around.  The buttons on the dad are wooded discs painted black,, the noses are wood, the eyes and buttons on the child are acyrlic paing. I added some eyelashes to the mom and some white to the eyes.  There ya have it, a super fun, easy way to dress up your front porch or corner in the living room.  Hope ya like them!

Merry Christmas

I made this cute little Christmas block from a piece of 2x4, painted it black, mod podged the pattern paper, nativity and red strip. The Merry Christmas is a rub-on from Pebbles. I then finished it off with some off white sparkley tuele..tuell. tuelle?   Anyway, I think it turned out cute and it is a super simple gift that would be perfect for neighbors, friends, co-workers.....even my daughter wants one to go under her tiny little tree that is in her room.

I'll have to take a pic of it her tree...she wanted her own tree so bad, so I found a darling silver tinsel tree at Target, got several packages of small ornaments, a bright pink tree skirt with sequins and a bright pink star for the top.  This girl LOVES Christmas and has been listening to Christmas music since Halloween night when we were carving pumpkins while listening to Michael Buble sing All I Want For Christmas.....his voice is just magical.  I'm glad my girl loves this season and not just for the presents, but for what the season truely is about....Giving and Loving.

I hope you all have a very Happy Holiday season, full of family, friends, food and peace.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Let It Snow

I just made up a simple card using this adorable ice-cube snowman. The image is from SKdigis. I colored with copics added some stickles on the snow and matted on pattern paper. I also used enamel accents on the eyes and mouth.  Simple, but cute!

As you can tell from the background, I live where we rarely get snow, so there is no snowman making for this gal!  I just have to make projects and cards that include snowmen, so that I feel that I get a little bit of fun playing with snow!!  I have also made a set of 3 snow people out of fence posts, I will get a pic of that soon and post it, they turned out super cute!

I've really enjoyed working with Stephanie, Karen and the rest of the lovely design team.  This cause is really important and can make a lot of difference in the lives of these young people.  Please come join our challenges HERE where our theme is Cool Cards.  I know many of you are busy at this time of year, but if you can make a card or send one in to one of our kids in need that would be a great service and that's what this time of year is all about....right?!! ;)

It's "Cool" with Bugaboo and Card Cupids

We start this month over at Card Cupids with a Cool Challenge and a Name Change to Sunshine Mail Foundation.

Here is the mission statement from their website.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit, provides children in need comfort, support and joy through free Sunshine Mail Care Packages. Sunshine Mail is filled with handmade cards, care essentials and other age appropriate items and delivered to children in hospitals, homeless shelters, foster care and children facing medical challenges.
Please check out their site, there are many ways to help.  You can donate some cute cards for kids, stuffed animals, stickers, toothbrushes, or if you would like to make a dollar donation that would be helpful too.

I'm really blessed to be able to participate in some small way with this great organization.

The challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo and the theme is COOL

I used this super cute penguin, colored him with copics and used some winter pattern paper, cut out a snowflake from my Joys of the Season cricut cartridge, added some punched stars and gems and the sentiment. I hope you like my card and please come join our challenge HERE.

Miss you a Latte!

I used this cute freebie digi image of the cup from The Alley Way Stamps, cut the steam ribbons off and substituted with bling, I like the way that turned out!! I stamped, embossed, and inked the tag red, added some white spots with bubble wrap, to kind of tone down the red a little bit and added rub-on words and tiny type for the sentiment.  I'm not sure if the tag is too much and the bling gets lost in the busyiness of it, but I kinda like it anyway!! Colored the cup with my copics and added some dots and ribbon.  Hope you like it!  Sorry for the slight blur, I seriously had two minutes to get this pic taken and uploaded ....

I made this card for a couple of challenges.  One of them being from The Alley Way -Be Inspired challenge using this photo.  I took the colors, stamped words on the tag to represent the words on the bird image and then used hot cocoa because of the snowman, it's cold outside and the cocoa is for warmth!!

I also used this sketch from +Sketch Saturday.
