Sketchy Friday #16

Here is another awesome sketch from Sonia over at Sketchy Friday.  I used Bo the Dragonfly, colored with copics, used some gems, some primas and pattern papers from My Minds Eye-My Girl 6x6 stack.

Life is a Journey-Tiddly Inks

I ordered this darling stamp from Tiddly Inks several weeks ago, inked it up right away and then that was it.  It sat for awhile until I could figure out what to do with it.  I know I didn't want to just make a card, but something that I could put out all the time and have a reminder/quote to look at daily.

  I paper pieced the bug, her hat, & tires. I used my copics for her face, the suitcases, and road.  I cut a strip of green paper and used my Martha Stewart scissors for the grass, used a circle punch for the sun and just hand cut the rays.  I stamped the sentiment and cut out each word, used ink, paint and a sharpie for the background.  Oh, and I just love that checked border stamp, so cute!!  I also painted the side edges in a black and white stripe pattern.  I love it and think it turned out so cute...plus it's the perfect daily reminder to enjoy the journey of life!

Happy Octopus!

I made this card using the adorable Happy Octopus from Skdigis and used the sketch from Challenge 14 over at Sketchy Friday as my inspiration.  Isn't she just the cutest??!!!  Now, I just need a sentiment to go with her.  I was thinking something along the lines of "YOU OCTIPY my thoughts".  I'm not sure if Octipy/Octipi  is a word, is that what you call plural octopus?? Does anyone know! lol...I'm not sure, but if you have any suggestions for a good sentiment, please feel free to comment!! :)

Here is my card for this challenge. I used the cute snail and mushroom image and used a 6x6 paper pad from My Minds Eye..(Can't remember the collection) I love the quote that was on one of the papers and used that for my title/sentiment!  I colored with copics, used a couple of brackets from my stash and added to a card base.
