I just threw this together with some leftover scraps that I was using for another project. I used papers from the Echo Park 6x6 This & That paper pad, some chipboard letters from Heidi Swapp and pebbles in my pocket rub on letters. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch

A Happy Birthday Fairy
I put together this birthday card for a couple of challenges, I won 3images from Dilly Bean and had to have this fairy. I think she is just awesome. I chose the colors based on the papers that I picked up at Michaels and used a kraft card base. I used different flowers, primas & punches, used a leaf punch, heart punch, twine, gems, and the sentiment is a rub-on from Pebbles. Hope you like her, I really love how she turned out!

Skatin by to say hi
I made this card for the Sunshine Mail Challenge that will be on the 15th. Sunshine Mail used to be Card Cupids and they are always in need of cards to be donated and sent in for the kids they are trying to help. If you have any extra cards laying around, or better yet, you want to join us and play with the challenge then go here for the details. There is a list of kids in need and their age so you can make something appropriate and more personal for that specific child.
The cute penguin is a digi from Bugaboo and they are the sponsor for this challenge. I think he's adorable. I used papers from Bo Bunny Winter Joy collection, the snowflakes are actually photo corners that I just carefully took the corner part off and left me with a snowflake that I used in several places. I added some gems, some purple glitter dots and some white enamel dots. I used several different fonts for the title. Hope you like it and will consider joining our challenge and send a card in for a child in need.

Sketchy Friday Challenge 1
Hi and welcome to our first sketch challenge over at Skdigis.
Sonia is changing up the challenges over at SKdigis and has some awesome sketches ready to play with. Please come join us for alot of fun and inspiration. I used the Tree of Hearts and the clouds from the new January SKdigi release, there are several new images and they are all super cute and fun to play with. Every Friday a new sketch will be revealed and each month there will be new digi stamps to play with. There is also a month long linking party. Go HERE for all the details and to also see what my fellow DT members have created. Their cards are stunning!
Here is my card for sketch #1. I paper pieced the tree and used the clouds from the new release. I embossed the clouds with my dot cuttlebug folder and inked them with broken china and faded jeans distress ink. The scallop and circle were cut from the George cricut cartridge. I hope you like it and will
come join the fun!
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Welcome 2013
I can now post this because my friend received her calendar in the mail today....this was my Christmas gift to my friends and family. I made 10 of them and actually need to make a couple more. I first got the idea to do a calendar from Damaris over at Studio D. Her calendar is amazing and you should definitely check it out. However, I needed something less time consuming and that I could crank out a lot of them in less time. I found several different calendar styles and finally came up with this, which I think is just a combination of several ideas rolled into one. I used digi elements and calendar kits from Pickleberry Pop and Fayette's designs. I LOVE her style. I put the months together in Photoshop and sent them to Walgreens for development. They are 4x6 photos, the base is a wood block painted, sanded and then I mod podged the kraft bracket frame, line stitched on it and added the teacup hooks.
I think it turned out super cute and now all my friends are already wanting refills for next year!

It's the little things that matter
and I'm taking TIME (my OLW for 2013) to start actively looking for and appreciating all those little things that usually get brushed off or forgotten seconds later. For example, this morning at work, I ran across the street to the hospital to get my water mug filled, grab some breakfast and a diet coke.
When I came back to my office, this sweet girl was waiting for me....of course she didn't look like this..lol. She had come from basketball practice, all sweaty, no make-up, hair in a pony. I was surprised to see her, figuring she would have gone straight home and back to bed. I asked her what she was doing and she said she just wanted to come see me and wanted a hug. Awww...now if that didn't tug at my heartstrings and almost made me cry. This sweet girl of mine has always been a hugger. Me, not so much, but I started appreciating those hugs years ago and am grateful that at almost 17 years old, she still wants a hug from mom. I am truely blessed to have this girl in my life.

My One Little Word to focus on this year is TIME.
There are so many things that I want to change this year, and it is past time that I did. I want to take better care of the TIME I do have, not procrastinate, not waste so much time doing things that aren't important. I want to feel like I'm living with intention and on purpose, not just surviving or existing.
Some of my focus areas are
Spiritual-spending more time in the scriptures and drawing closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ.
Use my time to better serve those around me, look for those who are in need
Health-I definitely need to get control of my health. My cardiologist wants me losing 25 lbs in the next few months, so I need to take the time to meal plan, exercise and be accountable.
I want to be more active, not just with exercise, but out in nature hiking, running, kayaking, etc.
Create-this is important to me, I want to take the time to learn new techniques, take a class or two, get outside my comfort zone and try new things.
Organize-pretty much everything!
Family-take the time to spend with family even if it's a little inconvenient. We never know how much TIME we or our loved ones have left in this life and I don't want to regret not spending time with the people who mean the most to me.
That's a little bit of what I am hoping to work on in 2013. I want to come to the end of the year being happy with my progress and accomplishments, not dreading another year with no changes and feeling like a failure. Oh..I'm also going to be working on a positive attitude....because it's way past time for that! Sorry this got super long, I wasn't intending to write a novel, but I guess I needed to get it out of my head and into words that I can read and re-read whenever I am needing a reminder.
Do you have a focus word for 2013? Please share if you do, and if you've gotten this far...thanks for reading! :)
