Fabulous!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Holiday.  We kept things low key around here and when Ash came back from her dad's, she came back with a really bad cold/flu.  Her fever finally broke yesterday morning and she feels somewhat human again.  She had to miss a basketball game though and time with friends, hopefully in the next couple days, she will be pretty much better.  (fingers crossed)

Anyway, I'm posting a card I made last night.  This is for the The Alley Ways Stamp challenge based on the  picture below.  I used the Doodle Frame set, some black gems, photo corners, black enamel accents, some ribbon and the background paper was from my stash and I can't remember from which company.

Anyway, just a quickie post. I'm trying to get Christmas put away and the house back to normal!

Hope you all have a happy Saturday! :)

Oh Christmas Tree

Just posting a quick picture of my daughters Christmas Tree. She wanted one just for herself and I'm thinking she might leave it up year round!  This girl LOVES Christmas and has been listening to Christmas songs since Halloween.  I just love her!

Hope you all have a very safe and happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Snow Family

Ok....how cute are these? I've seen similar snow families on Pinterest and had to make my own set. My friend and I spent a few hours putting these together.  They are pretty simple and turned out cute! We used fence posts and painted them white.  Used fuzzy socks for the hats and a couple of scarves that I've had lying around.  The buttons on the dad are wooded discs painted black,, the noses are wood, the eyes and buttons on the child are acyrlic paing. I added some eyelashes to the mom and some white to the eyes.  There ya have it, a super fun, easy way to dress up your front porch or corner in the living room.  Hope ya like them!

Merry Christmas

I made this cute little Christmas block from a piece of 2x4, painted it black, mod podged the pattern paper, nativity and red strip. The Merry Christmas is a rub-on from Pebbles. I then finished it off with some off white sparkley tuele..tuell. tuelle?   Anyway, I think it turned out cute and it is a super simple gift that would be perfect for neighbors, friends, co-workers.....even my daughter wants one to go under her tiny little tree that is in her room.

I'll have to take a pic of it her tree...she wanted her own tree so bad, so I found a darling silver tinsel tree at Target, got several packages of small ornaments, a bright pink tree skirt with sequins and a bright pink star for the top.  This girl LOVES Christmas and has been listening to Christmas music since Halloween night when we were carving pumpkins while listening to Michael Buble sing All I Want For Christmas.....his voice is just magical.  I'm glad my girl loves this season and not just for the presents, but for what the season truely is about....Giving and Loving.

I hope you all have a very Happy Holiday season, full of family, friends, food and peace.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Let It Snow

I just made up a simple card using this adorable ice-cube snowman. The image is from SKdigis. I colored with copics added some stickles on the snow and matted on pattern paper. I also used enamel accents on the eyes and mouth.  Simple, but cute!

As you can tell from the background, I live where we rarely get snow, so there is no snowman making for this gal!  I just have to make projects and cards that include snowmen, so that I feel that I get a little bit of fun playing with snow!!  I have also made a set of 3 snow people out of fence posts, I will get a pic of that soon and post it, they turned out super cute!

Miss you a Latte!

I used this cute freebie digi image of the cup from The Alley Way Stamps, cut the steam ribbons off and substituted with bling, I like the way that turned out!! I stamped, embossed, and inked the tag red, added some white spots with bubble wrap, to kind of tone down the red a little bit and added rub-on words and tiny type for the sentiment.  I'm not sure if the tag is too much and the bling gets lost in the busyiness of it, but I kinda like it anyway!! Colored the cup with my copics and added some dots and ribbon.  Hope you like it!  Sorry for the slight blur, I seriously had two minutes to get this pic taken and uploaded ....

I made this card for a couple of challenges.  One of them being from The Alley Way -Be Inspired challenge using this photo.  I took the colors, stamped words on the tag to represent the words on the bird image and then used hot cocoa because of the snowman, it's cold outside and the cocoa is for warmth!!

I also used this sketch from +Sketch Saturday.

Merry Christmoose

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  I traveled a couple hours to spend the day with my grandparents, their health isn't good and I'm not quite sure how much time they have left, so it was really good to see and spend time with them.

I had a very relaxing holiday weekend, 4 1/2 days off of work...YAY!!  Did NO black friday shopping and tried to stay off the roads at all times during this crazy weekend.  Ash was in Vegas with her dad and Steve had to work most of the weekend, so I had alot of alone time.  I don't know about anyone else..but I LOVE ALONE TIME.  I've always thought I would make a really good hermit.  I'm more of a homebody and most of my hobbies are done indoors, and I just sometimes love solitude.  I've considered that maybe I'm just weird...and I'm ok with that!

Ok, enough rambling and on to my card.  I've used SKdigi's Christmoose image.. he's just so stinkin cute! I knew I had to color him up right away.  Look at him..he's too fun!  I really need to work on my coloring though, I am definitely wanting to take a class and learn to color better so images really stand out.  In fact, I'm hoping to take a class from Created from Color, the basic class and work up from there. I've hinted at it for a Christmas present, so I'm crossing my fingers!  Anyway, here is my card, I've used scrap Winter papers, a few punches, gems, the snowflakes were a cricut cut from Joys of the Season cartridge and then the moose and sentiment were from SKdigi's.  I inked around the edges and looks like I got a little carried away with the ink on part of it... :/    ACK!

You still have a couple days to join our linking party over at SKdigis HERE the theme is ANYTHING GOES!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! :)

Thank U!

This is totally a non-halloween post, but I hope everyone has a fun, spooky and safe night tonight!!

I just made this card using an image from Soft Pencil that I had colored up a few weeks ago, I had it layed out and ran home at lunch today to finish putting it together, take picture and get it posted. It's time sensitive because it is for a challenge that ends tomorrow and I know tonight I won't have time to do much of anything besides trying not to eat my weight in CANDY!! ;)

So this is for the challenge over at Paper Smooches which is to share a Thank You card. I just used a pre-made kraft card, black with white polka dot washi tape.  Cut the U out with my cricut and the Hannah Montana cart. Used prima flowers, black gems and some ribbon.  I think she turned out cute....I always have a hard time with those flourishes, and not sure quite how to place them, but it will have to work!

Have a great Wednesday and Happy Halloween!

Smiley Pumpkin-Critter Color Challenge

Holy cow! I can't believe it's been about two weeks since I've posted anything. I've been crazy busy and have had to do some prioritizing.  I've got some assignments due in the next few days and have been working on some other things as well. Sometimes life just gets busy and we are in that busy season at my house.

This is my last post on the Critter Sketch design team and I have had such a fun time designing for their challenges.  This challenge is based on this color inspiration picture from design-seeds.com. Love those gorgeous colors and especially the owl.  My pumpkin is an SKdigi image and is also based on the sketch from Cardabilities sketch #61. I paper pieced the pumpkin and shaded with my copics...I love paper piecing and the SKdigi images are perfect for doing this. The letters on the title are stickers and are from my stash, I can't even remember which company they are from.  Anyway, hope you like my card and will come join us at Critter Sketch for this fun color challenge!

Home Sweet Home --SKdigis Challenge #6

I made this card using the super cute Mushroom Home from SKdigis.  Our challenge was to use a shape other than a square or rectangle-I chose hexagon and bought the hexagon card cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.  Also, our challenge is ANYTHING GOES as far as the image, Sonia has several really cute freebies on her site.

I just layered several hexagons, paper pieced the mushroom and grass, everything I used came from my scrap bin!  Love when that happens!! I also  used glossy accents on the caterpillar and stickles on the butterfly.  I hand cut the clouds and ran a copic marker around the edges and then dotted them with white enamel accents.  The Home Sweet Home sentiment is from Doodlebug rub on alphabet. I also shaded a little and used a white gel pen for line work.  I LOVE this image and had fun playing with it.  I hope you will join our challenge over at SKdigis!

SKdigis Challenge #3...Halloween

Welcome to SKdigis Challenge #3,the theme is Halloween, this should be a fun and easy challenge.  Go check out Sonia's shop over at SKdigis, she has TONS of images for Halloween, lots of little kids in costumes that are super cute, pick one up and come play with us!

I printed off this Lil Devil image several times and made some cards.  He is so cute and devilish!!  This one is for my husband...the inside says "Hope you have a Hot and Happy Halloween!!

I colored with copics and used an older paper collection from Junkitz called Extreme Boy from Teresa Collins. I have had this paper for years and thought it perfect to go with this image!
This one says "Is it hot in here..."
the inside says "Or is it just me?"
This one I left without an inside sentiment, but would be fun for an invitation for a date with the hubby...maybe even with some "fun" games to play too!! ;)

See, you can use these images for more than just a Halloween card!! :D

Hope you come play with us, we would love to see your creations! Happy week to everyone! :)

Black & White + 1 SKdigi Challenge

Come join us for a fun challenge over at SKdigis Challenge Blog, this is our second challenge and it's a fun one!

Here is the card I made for the challenge.  I used Happy Frog, colored with copics, cut the lily pad, and the sign from Create a Critter, the black and white polka dot background is from Bo Bunny. Can I just say that I LOVE polka dots....they are so happy!!  Anyways back to the card, the flowers were primas and I just scrunched them together and added a little stickles for some sparkle and a little gem. The words on the sign are doodlebug simply sweet letters, added some twine, and used a border punch for some added interest.

Hope you like it and don't forget to check out the other design team projects, they have some wicked talent!  Hope you all have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

This is the card I made for our challenge that is based on this sketch from Colleen Spangler. I really like this sketch and it worked perfectly for the image I used from SKdigis who is our sponsor this month.

I love this little owl, he was a lot of fun to color and play with.  I just used scraps that I had, so I'm not sure what brand or collection they come from, basically, I just used paper and colored the image with copics. No extra embellishments or anything.  Well, I hope you like it and I hope you join our challenge over at Critter Sketch, go check out our sponsor SKdigis, there are alot of super fun images, and lots for Halloween!
