Crushing!

Hi everyone, I'm here with my final project as my guest design spot over at Your Next Stamp, I have had such a blast playing along with the challenges, the featured post and the big birthday bash at the beginning of the month, wow, what fun!!!

I am leaving with an 8x8 layout, using the camera, insta love, and we click image and sentiment from the INSTA LOVE stamp set.  I really love this set, I think it's perfect with all the instagram pics and Project Life/pocket pages that are available now...just so fun!  I used papers from Simon Says Stamp 2012 card  kit and the gold "crushing" and stars are from Heidi Swapp....LOVE the gold!  I paper pieced the camera, added some stamped polka dots, a couple different papers and elements from the kit.

This is one of my fav pics of me and the husband and is the first layout I've done in over a year.....maybe two, it's been a long time!  I really love how it turned out and now I've got the itch to start back into my Project Life and scrapbooks, yay :D

To Protect and Serve

I had the honor yesterday of attending my son's police academy graduation and see him officially become a law enforcement officer.  My emotions have been on high alert for the past several days, a mix between pride, excitement and worry. I am proud of him for his perseverance, dedication, hard work, sweat and tears (try getting sprayed with pepper spray), OUCH!  From here on out he will be on the streets in field training, and I have to just keep a prayer in my heart so I don't worry myself sick.

I was married to his father who is also a police officer for 11 years, I am now married to a former member of the National Guard who retired with 20 years of duty, and now I am seeing my son enter the policing profession.  I am in awe at the courage and discipline, the willingness to serve and protect, to help and to put their own lives in danger, and to sacrifice. Words can't really express how grateful I am for their service, for ALL law enforcement officers and for all members of the military, for the feeling of patriotism when saying the pledge of allegiance and just seeing these men and women in uniform, there is such a feel that is almost spiritual and sacred in nature.

I was so impressed with the graduation ceremony, with the way these brand new officers stood at attention, without moving a muscle during the presentation of the badges, they moved only to accept their badges and move forward for the next person.  It was very professional and I was truly overwhelmed with a sense of pride for my son, for all law enforcement, for this amazing country and for a great and wonderful  God.

I made this card for my son, it is a KennyK image and is absolutely perfect!  I had to quickly put it together because I've been so busy lately, so it's very simple in design, but I think it turned out great!

Life is Good-LMMS Inspiration Thursday

Happy Thursday to ya!  Over on the FB page for Little Miss Muffet Stamps we have a lot of inspiration going on,  I have created this card using Polka Dot Pals Mitzi and Polka Dot Pals Lemonade Stand, I also used the sun, clouds and corner tree border from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I think it adds for such a fun summery scene!

Did anyone ever do lemonade stands when younger?  I sometimes will see kids around town givin it a try, but I don't ever remembering doing it myself.  I think Mitzi has the perfect stand that would attract many a customer though, and it looks like she is enjoying some refreshment herself!

Hope you enjoy my card, these LMMS stamps and images are so much fun to play with, mix and match and create fun little scenes.

Thanks for stopping by!! :D

Your Next Stamp After Party

Hi everyone, I hope you have enjoyed the new release from Your Next Stamp! There are so many fun, new stamps and dies to play with, how cool is that Hippie Owl?  I think super cool!! I definitely have my eye on a few things that will go on my want/wishlist! :)

For my after party project I used the cricket and sentiment from Bitty Bugs along with one of the jars from Jam Jars to make this cute little tag.  I wrapped the bread with tulle and attached the tag, I also had a jar of jam but forgot to put it in the picture.  I thought this was just the perfect set for a little tag!

Please head over to Your Next Stamp and check out what the design team have created, they are so talented and creative, you'll find more inspiration and new projects using the new release stamps and dies.

For You-Your Next Stamp

Happy Friday!!  It's another Fun Friday over at Your Next Stamp!  Do you need some mojo help?  Come check out the inspiration provided by the amazing DT and the awesome sketch and inspiration picture, the sketch is so fun and versatile.

This is my take on the sketch and I used the lovely and sweet Tobi with Rose image, the banner and letters are also from YNS called Skinny Font Alpha Set, that banner and font work perfectly for a quick personalized sentiment!
I colored her with copics, her dress I actually used my blue Spectrum Noir markers that are fairly new to me.  I'm pretty obsessed with my copics, but the SN's are really nice too and much less expensive.   I added some gems and some adhesive flowers from Martha Stewart.

I  hope you like! Come and join the fun over at YNS!!

Owl-Always Love You

I'm so excited to be sharing my first card as a guest designer over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!  I got to play with this little cutie Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You and she was so much fun to color!

I colored her to match a sticker set I've had for a couple years from ADORNit- the Owl Coral collection.  I love the little heart and brackets and just added some twine and pattern paper, other than that, I really like to showcase the image and have that be the focal point of my card.  I tend to keep things clean and layered, with just a few embellishments, and with a larger image.  I love the little owl she is holding, it reminds me of these super, super cute owls that someone had handmade for a girls birthday party.  I can't remember the blog or the site, but they were so cute! Anyway, I hope you like my card and you can check out more inspiration over at the Little Miss Muffets FB page.

A Random Fan challenge!

Ok, isn't this image just the cutest?  This image is called I Miss You and you can grab it HERE.  I used this cute image for my first DT card over at A RANDOM FAN and
the challenge is to use pattern paper.....as you can see, I used A LOT of pattern paper!
It just kind of worked out that way, but I love the colors and think it all worked well together.

I colored her with copics and then just started layering paper of different sized and shapes, the banner was made with a banner stamp from Some Odd Girl, I'm not sure if it's still available, I couldn't find the set in the shop. I added twine and gems and the rest is just paper.

I hope you like it and will come join the fun over at A RANDOM FAN!
