Always Be Yourself

We are up with another fun challenge over at Pile It On and the theme is

Wrong but Right (use something in a way that wasn't originally intended)

Our sponsor is Pickled Potpourri  and I got to play with the Summer Boys image and the Affirmation Badges

This challenge made me think outside the box....alot, but I really like how my card turned out!  The background is actually a used dryer sheet that I colored with copic ink ( I put my dryer sheet in a baggie and poured some ink and just squished it around until it was covered), the water and clouds are plastic from an arm floaty that I cut apart and the clear plastic strip is from a set of water googles, also the little snaps at the bottom were from the packaging!  I punched the sun and then cut out notches and added the center.  It was actually pretty fun to put together and use products that normally wouldn't be used on a card!

+Creative Corner-Just for Boys

YOLO.....Enjoy the Day! A new challenge at PILE IT ON

Hi everyone, we are up with a new challenge over at Pile It On and our theme is

  HUMOROUS

Our sponsor for this challenge is

and the winner will receive two images of their choice!

I used this fabulously fun image from Dr. Digi's called Ambrose King of the Waves.

I used a new summer paper stack from DCWV called The Summer Magic Stack, colored him with copics, paper pieced his flippers and floater and used glossy accents on those as well as his glasses and goggles.  I hand cut the sun rays, used some twine and a couple charms and letter stickers to finish it off.  I also watercolored the beach and the background.

I hope you can join us at Pile It On for a fun challenge, would love to see your creations!! :D

Pile It On- Challenge

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Pile It On and the theme is:

No Design paper or make your own

Our sponsor this challenge is a Day for Daisies and I got to use this gorgeous image called Water Talk.  I totally went with a completely different color combination here and well.......I'm not sure it works, but it's unusual and I stuck with it.  I colored with copics, and used gelatos with water for the watercolor effect in the background of the stamp, put a bunch of primas, enamel dots, sequins, some ink, a doily and some lace ribbon, made my own banner and the happy birthday is a rub-on.

Tell me what ya think of the colors.....do they work?  Yay....Nay?? I'm still undecided, but I really love the image and wanted something a little different!

I would like to enter the following challenges:
+Savvy Handmade Cards-Make Believe or Mystical
Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges-Use a stamp/digi image

Pile It On Challenge #14

Happy Sunday to ya, we have another challenge up over at Pile It On and our theme is
                                                              FEMININE

I got to use the gorgeous image called GirlFlowerButterly, from AuroraWings she was so fun to color up and she really made me go out of my norm for my card style this challenge.  I really love how she turned out.  I used a cut from Lacy Labels cricut cartridge for my card base, used a doily, some textured ribbon, lots of flowers and I sprayed a light layer of glitter on the doily.  I also used a couple wood veneer shapes, rubbed glitter on them and colored with copics.  Sorry for the little glare on the photo...

Hope you like her and will join our challenge at Pile It On. We would love to see all your wonderful creations.
