Books=Happiness

When I saw this image AMY LOVES BOOKS from Sasayaki Glitter Stamps  I knew that I wanted to create a canvas, this is the biggest canvas I've worked on, it's 12" x 16" and was perfect for what I envisioned.  I enlarged the image and made two copies, cutting out the bottom three books to stack for more height.  I colored it all with copic markers and then started on the canvas.

I used Multi Medium Matte to adhere a Tim Holtz tissue wrap to the canvas, put another coat on top, and started adding paint and color.  I laid down a light grey thin coat of acyrlic paint and then added gelatos in different colors.  The alpha stencil was used with Delta Ceramcoat in Tahiti Blue randomly on the canvas.  I spattered, white, black, purple and blue paint and then got working on the quote.  I googled reading quotes and chose this one, as it really says how I feel about books and reading.....for me, reading is my bit of happiness, as is creating, so this was perfect!   I used C.C. Designs big letter dies for the word BOOKS and cut out HAPPINESS with my silhouette.  The rest of the title was used with black sticker letters from EK Success.

I love how it turned out, love the image, love that it's a little bit messy and wonky and had a ton of fun creating!!

Love you.........

My card today features this darling image called A Flower for You from Sasayaki Glitter and you can find it HERE.

I used a few different pattern papers from the Pebbles Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad, a few papers from my stash, My Favorite Things Blueprint 14 for the square dies, flower, button, leaf and border.  I also used the Out of the Box die technique on the image.  I played with frantage for the first time in....well several years.  I bought a package with different types and colors and didn't really know what to do with it or how to use it,  so, I finally got it out and figured it out!  I think I love it!! :D
