Warm Wishes and Hello Winter

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready for some cooler weather!! Not too cold, and not snowy, but nice crisp fallish weather!  We have had rain for the past couple days and I LOVE the rain.  I should have stayed home from work and just cleaned house, thrown open the windows and enjoyed it....

Well, my projects today are more winterish and snowy.  I've used the new digi release
Momma and Baby Penguin from Some Odd Girl.  I've been the guest designer over in Oddland for the month of August and it's been a blast!! These cards are my final projects for my Guest spot.

I colored it all with copics, used pattern paper from a 6x6 winter pack I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  The igloo is from Create a Critter cricut cartridge.  The snowflakes are Martha Stewart snowflake corners that I just carefully tore the corner off. I spritzed the white background with spray ink on the second card, used my circle scallop dies, ribbon, and letter stickers.  The Warm Wishes sentiment on the first card is from Some Odd Girl and came with the super cute ski bunny clear stamp set.  Hope you like my cards and hope the weather wherever you are is just how you like it!! ;D

Best Witches?

I can't decide on a sentiment for this...I guess it will depend on who I send it to and for what purpose.

I got this image as a freebie from Simply B Stamps and am entering it in Betty's FB Fan challenge.  I have to say that this image is different than any I've colored up before and I found it a little harder.  I don't think I've had such a time with hair before, and I know I still need a lot of work to get my coloring skills even close to where I want them, but overall I love how she turned out!

I colored with copics, the pattern paper is Bo Bunny, I used my stash of flowers and bling, then die cut with spellbinders, and if I were a witch, I would want to look like her!! ;)

Hoooo-ray!

I'd like to share a card that I made using this cute Owl Doodle image from 2 Cute Ink, it was a freebie and I think it's still available if  you head over HERE.   I think she is just adorable!

I colored with copics and used a couple different pattern papers from my stash.  The brown paper was embossed with a wood grain template, and the orange border is a sticker.  The sentiment I made and printed out.  I used orange stickles on the center of the sun.

Wish I looked this good while running!

Sigh....but I do not.  If and when I attempt to run I look and feel like I've already run a full marathon within the first quarter mile.  I need to be more consistent....that, actually is the story of my life...needing to be more consistent.  At one time I did run a half marathon and was pretty proud of myself but that was several years ago.

Anyway, my lack and inconsistency of running is not the topic of this post...it's to share this fun card I made with JOGGER MAE from Some Odd Girl.  Now she knows how to pull off running and looks fabulous at the same time!

I colored with copics and used the papers from My Mind's Eye-My Girl collection and then used some fun banners  and wood arrows colored with brown copics!  Hope you like my card...not sure of a sentiment yet, will depend on the occasion.  I do have several friends that ARE runners and this might be a good luck or congrats card for one of them.

Warm Winter Wishes

Yikes, this is late! I tried to get this done this morning before it went live on Some Odd Girl blog but I think my computer is trying to crash, or it is just old and tired, or it just hates me...I can't decide.  So, I'm finishing this at work...SHHHH!!!   I did rush in early though so it wouldn't run into my work day.

So for those that are just joining me or have been away for awhile, I won a guest design spot over at Some Odd Girl...YAY!! I love Kristy's stamps, her images are SO much fun to color up and play with and I've had a blast playing with them in Odd land.

So I got to use the new digi release which is this awesomely majestic MOOSE.  I colored the moose with copics, the snow is hand torn from white cardstock and lined with stickles glitter, the tree, stars and garland are all from Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge and I colored the background with Distress Inks and my sponge applicator using blues and I think Antique Linen. I did add a little Snowtex to the tree and spritzed the background with spray ink.  I had this cute kraft gift box that I thought would be perfect to put a scarf, beanie and maybe some gloves in for a warm winter gift.  I hope you like it and hope you will go check out my post at Some Odd Girl!!

You Are Loved

We are going CAS over at Scribbles Designs for our new challenge that starts today.  I used CARL HEART YOU image, some washi, a stamped image and some line work.

My style is usually clean lines but totally CAS is a little harder for me to pull off...for some reason all that white space just screams at me to do something with it.  I refrained though and stopped short of throwing a bunch of something in that blank area.  I hope you like it and I hope  you check out our new challenge and go see what my DT sisters have created. There is so much talent that it's amazing!  Hope you join us in our CAS challenge!!!

Let it Snow

I'm using this super cute freebie stamp from Tiddly Inks.  I colored with copics , added pattern paper from several collections, ribbon and snowflakes.  The snowflakes I think are Martha Stewart photo corners and I just took the corner part off.  I like how fun and bright this turned out!

Under the Sea Mermaid

Here is my second post using SKdigis new images from the Under the Sea collection.  I've used the Mermaid, I LOVE these eyes, and we LOVE mermaids at our house.  Ariel is my daughters favorite princess EVER and we have watched almost every movie involving mermaids.

Again, I colored with copics, added some ribbon, some stickles, and white enamel accents for her jewels.  Isn't her hair just awesome, totally looks like it's floating in water. She is FUN and oh so cute!!

Under the Sea

I have 3  new cards that I've made using new SKdigis, I was going to put them all in one post, but they are so fun that I've decided they all need their own spotlight.

I love the Under the Sea collection, Sonia has really outdone herself with these fun images. They are SO fun to color up.  This  one is using Medusa the jellyfish, the fish from Coral Reef 2 and the sentiment.  I colored these all with copics and used summer papers that I've had for awhile.  I can't think of the manufacturer or brand at this time, I'll have to check when I get home.

I just think Medusa is way too cool, love her name!!  You can find her for purchase HERE.  Also going on each month is a SKdigis Fantastic Linking party.  Anything goes as long as you use an SKdigi image.  So if you love these images, go pick one up at her shop, create something gorgeous with it and join our linking party.......hope to see you there!!!

Catchin Powder

Here is my second project as guest designer over at Some Odd Girl.  I got to use this adorable little ski bunny and knew exactly what I was going to do with it.  I used it as a title card on my Project Life page for when my daughter went skiing for the first time.  I colored the bunny with copics, colored my white thickers with different colors (copics)  to match the bunny, used some washi, some snowflake stickers and spray ink for the spatters. I also added some white enamel accents on the letters.  Clear and digital stamps aren't just for cardmaking....check your files and see if you can use them in your PL pages or your scrapbook layouts!! Totally fun! :)

SOG August Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!! Today I'm so excited as I won a guest design spot over at Some Odd Girl for the month of August and we start today with a sketch and lots of fabulous inspiration.  :D

Here is my card, made with Kiss a Prince Tia and colored up with copics. I went with  a lot of purple as I think that is supposed to be a royal color...?  Added some green and a touch of yellow to go with her crown and  trim on her dress.  I totally LOVE that frog, he's so cute!

I added a tiny pearl as an earring and a button on her vest. Gems on the corners and used a spellbinder wavy rectangle die cut. The flower is a punch, as is the center and "kiss" is rub on letters. I used some lace trim, bling and white line work.  I love how it turned out and hope you do too.  Please come check out the rest of the DT projects, there is seriously some talented girls over there and join the challenge, it's for the whole month, so plenty of time to enter!

Fun sketch!
