Sending Birthday Wishes

I can't seem to get enough penguins and the ones from Sugar Pea Designs are just adorable.  These are perfect for masculine cards and since I never have enough on hand, decided to start building my stash.  I used the Happy Mail stamp set and the sketch/color challenge at Sugar Pea for the jumping point of my card.

All the stamps I used were from the stamp set and you can find it HERE.  For my background I took a couple different colors of copic refill inks and layed down big drops of color.  I really like how it turned out. :)

Make A Wish

Whew, it's been a long time since I've blogged, it took me a minute to remember how to make a new post! Yikes!    To say that blogging/card making, etc, etc have taken a hiatus is an understatement.  In fact, I would like to take a hiatus, a very long one.....but I have found a little creative mojo here and there and played with the challenge over at Sugar Pea Designs using the Fairy Sweet stamp set.

                                   Store---Fairy-Sweet

I used the sketch from the challenge and some pattern paper from various paper stacks and colored this cutie fairy with copics.  The die scallop circle and banner are MFT and I used some prima flowers and NUVO drops for the centers.

Sending Happy Mail

Friday, my day off and the rest of the day to myself...can't get much better than that! I'm posting this and then I have a coloring lesson to work on and a book to read, the rest of my night looks very much perfect to me!

I'm sharing this little gift I made, I made it for my friends birthday, she owns a mailing/shipping store and thought this was just perfect for her to put in her store.  The stamp set is Happy Mail from Sweet Pea Designs and I used the colors in the SPD color challenge.

I started with watercolor paper for the background, stamped and colored the mailbox, packages and letters with copics, flicked some white paint, added glossy accents to the mailbox and tied it off with tuelle.  The frame is from IKEA...I love these little frames, very inexpensive and so fun!

I hope you all have a great weekend!! :)

Birthday Wishes

I hope you are all having a beautiful Sunday....I have a card to share today using this darling mailbox from the Happy Mail set from Sugar Pea Designs.  I used the mailbox, some letters to put in the mailbox ( I cut a slit in the mailbox and slipped in two letters) a package and the sentiment.  I colored with copics, the clouds are dies from Lawn Fawn and the card is from a packaged set of card and envelope blanks I picked up for %75 off at Michaels.

I just love this stamp set and will definitely be using this a lot in the future.

Oceans of Love

Sharing a card made with the Seaside Wishes stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs, LOVE this set and have used the sentiments and little accents on several cards, this is the first one using the little girl and I just think she is adorable....as are all SPD images.

I colored with copics, masked the girl and used distress ink on the background, I added white sharpie to the waves and glossy accents to the shells and crab.  I also used the stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things Blueprints, I inked the sentiment with distressed ink as well to tie in the touch of yellow on her sand pail.

Maki A Wish

I had to play along with this fun sketch over at SugarPea Designs and also use my Rice Rice Baby stamp set.  I LOVE this set, that penguin is so fun to color up. I paper pieced his head scarf, his belt and his feet. Colored with my copics, and played with my new My Favorite Things Blueprint 13 die set.  This is my first time using MFT dies and I have to say that I'm in LOVE!! So fun and so many ways to use these dies.  All the stars, the "washi" tape die the circle and ziggy circle are from Blueprints 13.  The scalloped circle behind the penguin is from Spellbinders, the chevron stamp on the black is from Heidi Swapp, I used a little twine and various papers I had on hand.

Here is the sketch I used from Sugar Pea Designs
It looks like they are having a sale right now on their stamp sets, here is the link to the shop, they have the CUTEST stamps and are really versatile, go check them out!!

Heard you're egg-specting!

Hi everyone, Happy Thursday!  I have a sweet card to share today, this one will be heading to my step-daughter who is expecting her first child and this will be our first grandchild, so we are really excited.  I can share this here as she doesn't follow my blog, but had to keep it off instagram!

I used this adorable stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs called Tweet Friends, I had won  a $5.00 gift certificate and just had to have this set!

I colored with copics and watercolored the blue background, I stamped the polka dot background and stamped the sentiment with the same white ink, added some ribbon and bow and some primas.  I used glossy accents on the eggs and hearts, and cut the rectangle panel from MFT blueprints 13.  This was my first time ever using MFT dies and I have to say that I LOVE them!! Will have to start saving and putting some more on my wish list!
