Friday Favorites #8

Today...I'm going to talk eyeliner.  This is the liner I used for YEARS...it's  a brow/eye pencil, and I found that it didn't smear and leave me looking like I'd been beaten up or on an all night bender.  I did have to use my trusty lighter though to melt the pencil a little so it would go on darker and smoother.

It was a happy accident when I used my daughters eyeliner, she had picked up the wrong color and gave it to me. This is what I used and I found that I LOVE it!  It goes on smooth and doesn't crumble.  I ran out and went to pick up more, got a different brand and it was horrible. It crumbled everytime and it smeared.  So, this is my new favorite eyeliner.  It's smooth and the color does stay! I used black/brown and I love it!    These opinions are 100% mine, no compensation, no modeling contracts, just my honest opinion.   :D

A little Witchy!

Ok...I  know that these colors are completely different for a Halloween image, but I was working on this for an opposite colors challenge, then ended up going in a different direction.  I think she is super cute and fun...I'm not sure on a sentiment yet, depends on if I send her for Halloween or just a "flying by to say hi"

I colored her with copics and the image is Witchy Mae from Some Odd Girl, I used the sketch from Some Odd Girl for the July sketch challenge

Friday Favorites #7

Favorite day of the week.............TODAY of course!!!  Now, you can take that to mean literally today...as in Friday, or you can take it as today...meaning whatever day today is!

Live Today! Do not allow your spirit to be softened of your happiness to be limited by a day you cannot have back or a day that does not yet exist.”        Steve Maraboli

“There's only one day at a time here, then it's tonight and then tomorrow will be today again.”
                                                                                                       Bob Dylan

“Today expect something good to happen to you no matter what occurred yesterday. Realize the past no longer holds you captive. It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it. Let the past go. A simply abundant world awaits. "                                      Sarah Breathnach

“Forget yesterday - it has already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow - you haven't even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift - today.”
                                                                                                     Steve Maraboli

Being present in TODAY is something that I'm working on....too many times, I've wished it away or wasted it away.  Too many times I've been stuck in the never-ending cycle of wishing for things I didn't have or hoping that ONE day I will have the life I want.

Well, no matter my circumstances...I can always have the life I want.  Maybe I won't have all the "things" I want, but LIFE is mine to create..and to create in the way I want, to alter my perspective and to prioritize the important things.  To realize that I can be happy today...NOW, not down the road when I lose 20 lbs, or get out of debt or live in a nicer house.  Sure, all those things would be great! But in the overall scheme of things....they won't bring peace to my heart or joy to my soul.

Learning to live for today, being there for my loved ones TODAY, accomplishing something TODAY and not putting things off, being productive TODAY, being grateful TODAY, having that positive attitude TODAY......you get the point!!  So for me, and for TODAY and for the tomorrow that will become TODAY, I'm choosing to be present, to be grateful, and to love the life I have!

SKdigi Fan Linking Party

I put together this card using the SKdigi image FLOWERS in Vase #3http://www.shopskdigis.com/2013/05/flowers-in-vase-3.html

for some reason my linking tool isn't working and my blogging is really wonky...UGH.

Anyway, I had fun playing with this cute image, colored with copics, used some prima flowers, embossed the background and inked it and then layered some papers.

I'm linking it up over at SKdigis linking party.  Here: http://skdigis.blogspot.com/2013/07/FANtasticLinkingParty-july.html

Friday Favorites #6

My favorite sport.........................has got to be this one.
Both kids play and I played when I was in high school, but I'll spare everyone the pic of me playing.  Back in the 80's with the big hair and shorter b-ball shorts.....not a pretty picture.

Had fun watching Jordan play, he played in Vegas, so we would travel down there as often as we could to catch a game.  Ashlie has one more year of high school ball and then we will be done.  Kinda bittersweet.

Up, Up & Away

I used 3 different Some Odd Girl digi's for this card, I played around with different colors for a different challenge, but didn't end up using them.  When the GET MOVING challenge popped up over at SOG, then I knew just what I wanted to do with these images.  The flag banners are also SOG clear stamps from the Celebration Mae set.  I added glossy accents to the banners and hearts on the balloon.  The balloon is an SVG from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The grass is just white paper that I colored with distress ink, and I used a cloud template that I made and inked the clouds with distress ink too.

I found the quote from Dr. Seuss online and thought the quote and all the colors would make for a fun, quirky, and whimsical card.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Kitty Bee Designs-Congratulations
