Hang in There

Hello to everyone in blogland, hope you are having a wonderful mid-week day!  

How are your holiday preparations going? Do you celebrate? Do you bake up a storm?  Shop and be done early, or wait until the last moment?  Me....I kind of do both, I do what I can as early as I can, but still find myself waiting until the last minute to finish things up.....procrastination and I have a complicated relationship  :/

However, one thing that is not complicated is our challenge over at  A RANDOM FAN- it's Anything Goes, see.....super easy.  So make a project and share with us, we'd love to see what you've been working on!

I used this adorable image called Hanging On, colored her with copics, the tree corner is an SVG cut from Miss Kate Cuttables and the butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch, I also distressed the background for some sky effect.

  I've always loved penguins, as a teenager I had 4 huge penguins painted on my bedroom walls along with some art deco type images. I just think they are so cute and so fun to watch. Warm Wishes

 Happy Wednesday!! Does it just seem like the days and weeks are flying by?  Holy Cow!  It just seems like yesterday and it was Oct 1, and now we are at the end, there are even countdowns now to Christmas.  I really don't like that....let me get through one holiday at a time, too much all at once just drives me crazy!  For me, my Christmas list will still be there the third week of December, so reminding me starting in October isn't going to get me shopping any sooner!  :/

Anyways, I'm done with my little rant and wanted to share this cutie little image from A RANDOM FAN, it's called SNOWMAN and FRIENDS and is for the new challenge which is RED, WHITE & GREEN.

Summer Scent-digi promo

Happy Wednesday bloggy friends!  Over at A Random Fan, we are showcasing this sweet digi called Summer Scent.  She is perfect for a "Thinking of You", "Just Because", "Thank You" or "Birthday" card.  I printed her a little on the bigger side, I like to have the images be the main focal point of my cards. 

I colored with copics, and used distressed ink for the clouds, and the gold elements are from Heidi Swapp.

Happy Wednesday! I would like to share my card today that I made for the ANYTHING GOES challenge over at A RANDOM FAN.  The cute image I used can be found HERE

I colored the image to match the pattern papers I had from an older kit, I think it's from Bo Bunny.  I added a few snowflakes and a few sequins to the tree and some sticker letters from the kit.  I really LOVE these colors together and this is such an adorable image, they look all warm and cozy!!

I'm not too much of a cake person and at my office when we celebrate birthdays we do it with pie instead of cake, so this cutie little image was just perfect and so much fun! 

I used a large range of copics from the E family and used BAKER ARIE, this is a little bit smaller card measuring at 4.25x4.25, I love the mini's for a change and think she was perfect to use with this color scheme and smaller size.

Hello and happy Wednesday!  We are up with a new challenge over at A Random Fan and the theme is

I've used the image Summer Break for this card and I just think she is perfect for bright, fun colors!!  I colored her with copics, used several different scraps of paper, a chipboard flower with a brad for the center, primas, gems, and some ribbon. I also embossed the white oval although it's hard to see in the picture, and then line stitched with white around the edges.

Good morning! We are featuring this little cutie over at A Random Fan, this sweet image is Doctor Monet...how fun is she?!!  I think she is just perfect for a Get Well Card, and so that's what I did!! I colored with copics, used some gumdrops from Your Next Stamp, the tag is from Blueprints-My Favorite Things and some fun scrap paper.  I also inked with distress ink around the image.  Hope you like, come over to

Hi everyone we are up with a  new challenge over at A Random Fan and the theme is Anything Goes, I used ASTRO BOY to create this birthday card for a young boy, the moon was a digi image from Dustin Pike, then I just matted it all on black cardstock, spattered some white paint and yellow stars and placed a happy birthday flag on the moon.  I hope you like it and will come join our new challenge! A Random Fan challenge!

Ok, isn't this image just the cutest?  This image is called I Miss You and you can grab it HERE.  I used this cute image for my first DT card over at A RANDOM FAN and 

the challenge is to use pattern paper.....as you can see, I used A LOT of pattern paper!  

It just kind of worked out that way, but I love the colors and think it all worked well together. 

I colored her with copics and then just started layering paper of different sized and shapes, the banner was made with a banner stamp from Some Odd Girl, I'm not sure if it's still available, I couldn't find the set in the shop. I added twine and gems and the rest is just paper.

Happy Birthday to a brave little boy

I saw this story shared on FB today from A Random Fan who is offering up a couple of free images for a limited time in order to make this little boys birthday wish come true.

Here is the link to the story , basically, he has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and his birthday is coming up next week......all this cutie wants is a box full of birthday cards.

                                      

Here are the cards I made to send to him, I will be sending them on Monday and hoping that he gets them in time for his birthday on the 25th.  Happy Birthday Danny!!!

I wanted to tell ya a little about my card that I made using A Random Fan's Moonlight Dream image.  I colored her with copics and paper pieced the moon and star. I added the ribbon at the bottom and did a little bow,  and then ran out of that ribbon so I couldn't do tails for the bow, which makes it kinda hard to see. I added a couple layers of paper for matting and some gems and sequins.  I hand stamped the "dream big" sentiment and pierced around the edge of the white panel for more interest.  I hope you like it and will come share your projects with us!

Happy Saturday to ya'll, I'd like to let ya know that over at A Random Fan, they have a new sketch challenge up for everyone to play with.  It is a tag, and here is the sketch.

I used a Pirate Adventure for my tag.  I colored with copics, the background is a huge map stamp that I have had for so, so long that I don't remember the brand but it worked perfectly with this stamp!  The enjoy the journey stamp is from Tim Holtz, the Journey collection. #100happydays week 7

Time....it flies by, whether we are having fun or not!! ;)   This little experiment in finding the smaller- day to day moments, things, experiences, exchanges....whatever it is that has brought a smile to my face, a lift to my heart, comfort to my soul or a laugh out loud gut busting funny....has been a happy journey all on it's own.

I sometimes find myself at the end of the day with no pic of my happy moment and it makes me stop and think back upon my day.  Sometimes, the day was just pure crap and then I have my "go-to" things that without fail at least bring me a smile.

Here are my week 7 Happy Moments

This has become one of my new fav shows.  I am fascinated with anything medevil, Renaissance, Kings-Queens, court intrigue,  I love anything King Arthur, Merlin, Lord of the Rings...anything that comes close to that genre..I love!! I totally look forward to Thursday nights on the CW!!

Do I really need to say anything else??????  This is the yummiest french toast EVER, if you have a KNEADERS near you....drop everything and go get some french toast.  You will thank me, I promise!!!  :D  It is big, thick, huge slices of cinnamon swirl bread all french toasted up and with strawberries and cream and then this delicious caramel type sauce...  absolutely divine!!

Day 45

Have I mentioned that I love to color, and that copics make me happy?  Well, they do! Copics make me happy and coloring is my therapy.  Plus it doesn't hurt when you have adorable little images to work on!  Mermaid is from A Random Fan!

Day 46

Such a powerful image, this just stirs my heart and soul.  I don't even really have the words to describe the emotions that this brings other than deep gratitude for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know He loves me, He died for me, and He atoned for my sins.  (and for all mankind)   I am grateful and full of love for Him, and hope that I can try to be more like Him each day.

Must have been a Monday!!  HA!!  Minions happen to be one of my "go to" things for a quick smile or laugh...I mean, they are just too stinkin funny!

Day 48

Comfort...that is what this blanket represents.  It is my husbands, I pretty much took it over  3 years ago soon after we got married.  It's the perfect size, kind of a lap blanket, but I use it to tuck myself in at night...I know that sounds weird...but I have to have blankets tucked up right under my chin and I don't really want the sheets, blanket and comforter, so this one little blanket works perfectly!

Day 49

This is another happy moment, when a cute image comes together to make a cute card!  It's just something that I have to do...create, it's like breathing or reading a book....can't live without it!!

Hello, I'm here with a card using this cutie little mermaid and sketch from A Random Fan, she is just adorable!  I colored her with copics, cut out the tree from Miss Kates Cuttables and the sand dollar is from SVG Cuts, I had the sand sticker from a set, I can't remember what brand it comes from, but it sure worked out perfectly!

Road Trip

 Trains, Planes and Automobiles...how perfect!!  

I colored with copics, the Road Trip sign is a stamp from Imaginisce, the road lines and key are foam stickers from Thickers Subway Accents, the cloud paper is from My Minds Eye and the brown polka dot is Bo Bunny.  and then some yellow twine!

I just adore this image and it really speaks to my love of travel and my heart's desire to just get in the car and drive....and I guess since travel isn't really possible at the moment, I'll have to live vicariously through this little sweetie and her pup!!
