I {HEART} U!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a card that I quickly put together this weekend.    I"m not too sure on the design, but I had a deadline for a coloring contest and while I had the image done, I needed to get her on a project.  With the crazy weekend... my grandmothers funeral, 7 hours of travel, a trip to Vegas and back, my son getting in a car accident and just being completely emotionally exhausted, this was what I came up with.  I've thought about just taking the colored image off and putting her in my copic journal.....hmmm, still not sure what I'm gonna do.

The Scrubbing Bubbles on the image is a tutorial from Rhea Weigand, the image is from Simply Betty Stamps and  the  coloring contest was to color in Jeweled tones over at the
Passionate Paper Creation FB Group .  You can find the image HERE

I used dies from Spellbinders (frame), My Favorite Things (stitched circles) , C.C. Designs (border and vines) some white gumdrops from Your Next Stamp and some purple mesh ribbon.

I love how the background coloring came out and the bubbles...SO FUN!!  There are lots of tutorials over on the FB page if you want to join and check them out!!

Senior Photo Shoot

I finally got around to scrapping one of Ashlie's senior photo shoot pictures.....it was hard to pick the main picture, but in the end chose this one.  The others I will most likely do in a Project Life type album, with this page as the title page.
All of her photos turned out so good, I can't wait to get them all in an album!!

I used the page kit from We R Memory Keepers-Hello Life, a few punches (flower, butterflies) everything else came from the kit.

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday to ya all! It's a happy Monday for me because it's a holiday and I'm not at work!! YAY!!!

I also was able to finish up a card using a gorgeous fairy from Some Odd Girl called Petal Fairy.  I love fairies....well, really anything in the fantasy genre. Dragons, mermaids, fairies, etc.  And Some Odd Girl has a good selection of really cute fairies.  I used the color scheme from My Favorite Things for the inspiration and also the sketch from MFT.

Supplies used:
Copics
Spellbinders -Floral Ovals
My Favorite Things-leaves and washi die
doily
paper
sequins
patterned vellum
wink of stella-clear

This is the first card I've ever used Wink of Stella on, how in the world did I not have this product before???  It's awesome, leaves such a gorgeous layer of shimmer.....I'm in love!!  I've added it to the red parts in her wings!

All American Girl

I finally made a layout, YAY me!  I love scrapping pics of my kids, they are so photogenic and I can always find some inspiration somewhere.  It's been awhile since I've scrapped, I've been making cards and taking a coloring class, so been busy with that, but want to get back to scrapping and my Project Life.

So, I based this layout on the sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap.  It ended up being perfect for these 3 pictures that I had to work with.  The All American title is from Miss Kate Cuttables and you can find it HERE.  It comes with the title, stars and hearts.  I added the girl part with my Make the Cut and I just picked a cute font. Then I spattered white paint around the top and bottom.

Here is the sketch I used

I'm hoping to share more layouts and PL pages and maybe art journal pages....my art journal showed up from Amazon a couple days ago, so I'm excited to get started on that!

Have a Happy Saturday! :)

Rio Penguin

Isn't this image just SO cute!!?   I adore penguins and wish I could cuddle up with one....although, I don't think in actual real life they would be all that cuddly, and they would probably smell funky, but it's a fun thought!!

The image is from Simply B Stamps called Rio Penguin.

I cut out a  circle image from black cardstock and used the negative piece for a frame with my stitched circle dies from My Favorite Things, embossed with blue powder using a polka dot foam stamp that I have had FOREVER, added heart die cuts from Lawn Fawn, some twine and black enamel dots from Your Next Stamp.  I colored with copics and added a little highlight with my white marker, the snowflake is Lawn Fawn as well.

I love the blue against the black with a pop of red.

If you could cuddle with any animal (no dogs/cats)  at all (with no fear of it eating you, pooping on your, biting you or poisoning you) what would it be???  Curious minds want to know! ;)

Mine would be a choice between a baby penguin and an otter!

Thank you SNOW MUCH

Sending this cute little snowman to my Grandma for a thank you for Christmas gifts....I think he's such a perfect image and fun sentiment to say thanks!

I got him done and squeaked him in time for the sketch challenge over at From the Heart Stamps.  He is the freebie of the month stamp, which is part of a progressive challenge or you get him free with $10 purchase.

I colored him with copics, used Lawn Fawn stitched snowflakes, the stitched background panel and banner from MFT Blueprints 13. I did ink blue around the edges and into the image panel, but the photo doesn't capture that very good.

Ha-Bee Day...Bee Happy.....Happy B-day...Bee Mine?

Do you ever leave sentiments off your card because you're not sure how you are gonna use the card?  I DO....like all the time.  I want that option of adding it later for whatever occasion might arise.

This cutie little Bee is a perfect example and I can think of several occasions this would be perfect for....so I will decide what sentiment to add when it's time to use the card.

I colored her with copics, used stickles on her bow and wings, some heart die cuts from Lawn Fawn and some older pattern paper that I have no idea what company it's from.

This little bee was a freebie from 2CuteInk on their FB page for a contest.
