Here is a little bit about me...
My name is Sharla. I live in Southern Utah with my daughter who is 16, and my husband who I just got married to about 15 months ago, I also have a 21 year old son who lives in Las Vegas, and three step-daughters. I love scrapbooking, card making, altered projects, and crafts of most kinds. I am hopelessly addicted to chocolate, ice cream and diet coke. When I'm not playing with paper, glue and scissors, then you can find my nose buried in a book or watching a favorite movie for the 100th time, (love Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Notebook, Princess Bride and most anything Disney!)
 Occasionally, you might find me lacing up my running shoes, but not too often!! ;) I spend a lot of time with my daughter and driving her to her basketball practices and games.....it's a pain sometimes, but I absolutely LOVE it!

King of the Throne!!

I put together this card for Ash to give to her dad for Father's Day. She is away at a youth camp with our church and won't be back until late Saturday, then I have to get her to her dad so she can spend Sunday with him.  I think it turned out cute and love that little skunk, he's so cute. Plus, Ash's dad and I have been divorced for about 10 years and I think the skunk fits.....(but not in the cute way!!)  0_o   I kid, I kid..........ah,  no I don't!  ;)

I used the sketch from Card Patterns

and put it together using my stash of paper, the outhouse/skunk is from Campin Critters cricut cartridge and then I just inked things up.

These cute cards were made by Ash, (my16 year old daughter)  she doesn't scrap very much, but we decided that maybe on Sunday afternoons we could make cards and send to family, friends, or those who need a little pick me up.  She made this card for the Card Cupids challenge  and for a little girl named Mia. (For info, please see Card Cupids blog).  Ash is 16 and doesn't have a blog, so now and then I will post her cards and enter her into challenges that fit!  She also made this cute dog card, and we will send it in for Card Cupids when there is a little boy in need.

We were too late to enter the Card Cupid challenge, but here are her cards and the dog card will fit the
Cupcake Inspirations challenge based on this picture:

Critter Sketch Challenge-Even Recipe

For this challenge over at Critter Sketch the challenge is an even recipe.  2 ribbons, 4 buttons and 6 brads/eyelets.  Our sponsor for the June challenge comes from Robyn's Fetish, she has some seriously cute digi stamps, you should go check it out......and then come back and link up your new creation and join in the fun!!  Hope to see your projects!

Here is the card I made using the even recipe.  I cut two of the bases and adhered them together to make the card, the heart shape is one from Shanna Vineyard (template), then I just used ribbons, buttons, and brads.  I heat embossed the stamp with white embossing powder (love that stuff!!)

Flyin By to Say Hi

I played around with my cricut and made this cute little ladybug, my husband said it looked like a turtle, the one from Nemo....I guess it does a little bit except for the antennae and the eyelashes and the body, huh..kinda funny.

Just Keep Swimming

Made this card tonight using Create a Critter cartridge for the fish, sand, starfish, and seaweed.  the bubbles I heat embossed and glittered them and then added a bunch of white bubbles with a white gel pen, and then glittered on the fish.  Love that fish, too cute!!!

Glad it's Friday, been a long week, I've had some sleeping issues this week....tossing and turning, looking at the clock all night, it's so frustrating. I'm not very happy when I'm over tired and tend to be real onery, it's a good thing I have an amazing husband who puts up with me, even if I don't deserve it. Hoping to sleep better tonight...and at least I won't have an alarm clock going off in the morning. Yay for sleeping in!!

New Design Team

I'm going to be participating with Critter Sketch Challenge Blog as part of the design team for the next few months, my first assignment will be next Monday, June 11th.  I'm so excited about this!! New challenges are posted each Monday, come play along!!!   

I'm hoping to get in the scrap studio tonight... (HA!!  that's what I call my side of the bedroom which is lined with all my scrappy stuff, sad I know...but it's all I have to work with!!)  I need to work on my DT assignment and just play with some paper, paint, markers or anything I can get my hands on.  It's been over a week since I've created anything and I can feel the withdrawals starting to happen.....good thing I haven't given up diet coke yet...I couldn't handle withdrawals from two different sources, it might just do me in!! ;)
