Super Dad

I made this cute card for my dad....I'm super early and ahead of schedule for once...his birthday is in OCT....but I AM READY!!  This cute super bird is perfect for my dad, he's a pretty amazing guy.  He grows a garden and gives away most of the harvest to neighbors and even strangers. There are times when my gas tank mysteriously fills up or I find a $50 in my glove box.  He helps when he is tired and he helps when he doesn't feel good, that's just the kind of guy my dad is.  Always wanting to help someone else, and he doesn't want the credit.  A lot of his service is done quietly and anonymously.  He's a super great guy and I'm so grateful he is my dad!!

This image is called Super Birdbrain and was a freebie with a progressive challenge over at
From the Heart Stamps I think this image is just too funny, I love his little bugged out eyes!!  I colored him with copics and spectrum noir (blues) and just used paper for the rest...not one other embellishment!  I had to get this done and entered and I'm scootin in with just under 4 hours to go, whew.....Now I'm off to have dinner with the parents, have a great night!! :)

Mini's!!!!

Today is my farewell post over at Your Next Stamp, I am honored to have been a guest designer for June and had so much fun!

I made these little cards, they measure 4x4 and used these adorable little mini stamps
Mini Cupcake Cutie and Mini Rainy Day Fhiona along with the matching dies.  I love how these turned out, and love the smaller size images and cards! I grabbed these little minis when YNS was having $1 sale....YES, they were just $1, and this was the first time I've used a stamp with a matching die, I have to say that I just love it!

Keep an eye out over at YNS because they have  a lot of inspiration, tons of amazing digi and clear stamps/dies and other fun embellishments and keep an eye out for their crazy awesome sales!!

Thanks everyone over at YNS for being so amazing!! :)

Outdoor Fun!

A new challenge is up over at Pile It On....this is my last post with PIO, it's been a blast and I've really enjoyed working with everyone!

Our theme is

OUTDOOR FUN

and our sponsor is Inky Impressions

I got to play with this fun image, anything with a ball just reminds me of the days when my kids played soccer, basketball, & baseball.  I loved being a sports mom and now my kids are grown up and out of school, they don't play as much or anything that is organized, so I will just reminisce and remember those good times!

I colored with copics, used some dies from My Favorite Things Blueprints 13, the Fun Times stamp is something that I think I picked up at Michaels and has been in my supplies for several years, the bingo card has been in my stash too and is from Jenni Bowlin.  The stars and little banners are MFT.

Come join us for a fun challenge! Hope to see you there!! :)

A Happy Hello-YNS Fun Friday

It's Friday...YAY!!  My favorite day of the week, especially when it's my Friday off!

Over at Your Next Stamp they are showcasing the DT's projects for some serious inspiration.  I've been a guest designer this month and here is my card for the challenge.  I used Happy Hello Butterfly and the sketch to make this card.  I just love that butterfly and his huge smile!

The banner die is from MFT, the flower svg file is from Miss Kate Cutables as is the sun, the sentiment is part of the butterfly stamp set and the center of the yellow flower is a gumdrop from Your Next Stamp.  I love these gumdrops (enamel dots) they have a little sparkle in them and are a little thinner so don't add that much bulk.

I hope you like my card and will hop over to YNS and check out the inspiration and play along with the challenge!

Surprise, Just For You

Hi everyone, just want to direct ya over to Your Next Stamp where I am guest designing this month and today they are having a special monthly post, head over and check them out, leave a comment for your chance to win!!!

From the YNS blog

It's time for our monthly inspirational blog post! This is a special monthly blog post to give you an extra dose of YNS inspiration!

I used this darling stamp called SURPRISE from YOUR NEXT STAMP to make this little gift bag.  I colored her up with copics, added the sentiment from the same stamp set and cut it out with my MFT Blueprints 13 set, added some flowers and gems and tulle to tie it closed.

It's the perfect size to slip a gift card inside, a small gift or even some cash!   I hope you like my project and will go check it out over at YNS!  :D

Thinking of You!

Hi all, we are back with another challenge over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun and the theme is

I'm in the US and got to play with red, white and blue, I love this sweet little fairy. She looks so content just laying there.... probably daydreaming about some cute little boy fairy!

I colored with copics and used papers that were in my stash.  The cloud is a digi clip art file from Shanna Vineyard, I inked around the edges  and added some borders and twine, and a little tag.

Please come join us and show us your country's colors!
As usual, we have some fabulous sponsors, I got to use the image from

Hope you have a Fairy Good Day!!

Squeaked this card out last night and just LOVE this image from Some Odd Girl, she is so fun and cute!

I used copics to color her up, some pattern paper I had on hand and some dies that I had already cut out with my cricut and MTC.  I love using my scraps to quickly cut out some borders, flowers, leaves and other small items, or using my cuttlebug and my new set of MFT Blueprints die set.  I just cut away and then have some elements already to go, makes it quick and easy to put together a card.  I used some twine, some prima flowers, and gems.  I will wait to put a sentiment on until I know what occasion and who this will be for.

Always Be Yourself

We are up with another fun challenge over at Pile It On and the theme is

Wrong but Right (use something in a way that wasn't originally intended)

Our sponsor is Pickled Potpourri  and I got to play with the Summer Boys image and the Affirmation Badges

This challenge made me think outside the box....alot, but I really like how my card turned out!  The background is actually a used dryer sheet that I colored with copic ink ( I put my dryer sheet in a baggie and poured some ink and just squished it around until it was covered), the water and clouds are plastic from an arm floaty that I cut apart and the clear plastic strip is from a set of water googles, also the little snaps at the bottom were from the packaging!  I punched the sun and then cut out notches and added the center.  It was actually pretty fun to put together and use products that normally wouldn't be used on a card!
